2024

  1. November 7, 2024 — We became QQ friends for the first time.

  2. December 20, 2024 — We met up for the first time at Web Fried Rice, awkwardly searching for things to talk about the whole way. We added each other on WeChat.

January

  1. January 29, 2025 — New Year's Eve. Shenshen wished me a happy new year!

February

  1. February 23, 2025 — I hadn't planned on going to the office, but suddenly felt like moving Shenshen's seat next to mine. No idea why.

  2. February 24, 2025 — From this day on, we never stopped talking.

  3. February 25, 2025 — Shenshen followed me on Douyin for the first time. Honestly, I didn't see that coming.

March

  1. March 2, 2025 — Our first time going out together. We ate at Hong Kong restaurant, bought Pop Mart figures, and walked a lot. I was so, so happy.

  2. March 4, 2025 — Bought Shenshen her first Starbucks from me.

    From December me: There would be many, many more to come.

  3. March 6, 2025 — The first time Shenshen and I held hands. From then on, we held hands every time we met.

  4. March 7, 2025 — I told Shenshen my eyes were bothering me, and she immediately sent me an eye massager. She really pays attention to the things I say.

    From November me: I actually only used it twice and then never again, lol.

  5. March 9, 2025 — Today we officially got together! We strolled around Qingshui River and a cat café, had dinner, and by the lakeside bench I asked her to be mine. I picked out those flowers for a very long time.

  6. March 12, 2025 — Shenshen got her period, so I ordered her a warm peach-gum dessert. She said it was delicious. I will keep ordering it for her.

  7. March 16, 2025 — We started playing Split Fiction together! Just you all wait.

  8. March 30, 2025 — Our first movie outing: Farewell My Concubine.

  9. March 31, 2025 — Because my lips were chapped, Shenshen bought me a lip balm. It works wonderfully.

    From November me: I still use it every night ^^

April

  1. April 3, 2025 — My anxiety manifested physically and I ended up in the hospital. Shenshen posted a status wishing me good health and no more illness. I love her so much.

  2. April 5, 2025 — Shenshen and I went to Sichuan University, ate Yuanmai desserts, and watched Twilight. I felt terrible, couldn't sleep all night, and wasn't thinking straight. That morning I did something really hurtful to Shenshen. Thank you for not leaving me. I love you so much.

  3. April 13, 2025 — Our 30th day together. We watched The Invisible Guest.

  4. April 27, 2025 — I lost the bracelet Shenshen gave me. That's when I learned it was a Rilakkuma — she chose it hoping I'd be as relaxed and carefree as the bear. (Am I seriously about to cry?) But that day, Shenshen took some beautiful photos.

    From October me: During the October holiday, I bought two identical ones online.

May

  1. May 4, 2025 — We finally finished Split Fiction! Our first game completed together. All achievements cleared

  2. May 7, 2025 — I think this was our first real fight. I made Shenshen cry. But somehow, our bond felt even stronger after.

  3. May 30, 2025 — We set off for Leshan together! Our first real trip, I'd say. We ate crispy duck, visited the Giant Buddha. Came back June 1st. There were a few little bumps along the way, but it only made us stronger.

June

  1. June 18, 2025 — Exam season. My birthday happened to fall on our 100th day. Shenshen was actually the first girl to celebrate my birthday alone with me in my twenty years of life. She gave me a plushie — it's still by my pillow. And a mouse I use every day. And of course, a little letter.

July

  1. July 5, 2025 — Finals were finally over. That day we made our first pair of rings together.

  2. July 23, 2025 — Shenshen went to Yantai, Shandong, and took a set of absolutely gorgeous photos. My girlfriend is so beautiful and adorable, I'm so happy ovo

August

  1. August 23, 2025 — Shenshen made a video listing her boyfriend's strengths. Being praised by her makes me so happy.

  2. August 27, 2025 — Qixi Festival. Shenshen gave me a plushie she bought in Singapore — still by my pillow too. These days with Shenshen have been indescribably happy.

  1. September 25, 2025 — Our 200th day together. Shenshen drew a painting: Sauce Dog Nuo and Little Rabbit Shen. I love this painting, and I love this little artist.

  1. October 20, 2025 — We woke up and had an argument, but made up quickly. That night we cried happy tears.

  2. October 21, 2025 — The weather was freezing. Shenshen brought me a cup of hot, fragrant milk. Not cold at all. That evening she wrapped her scarf around me. It smelled like her.

  3. October 23, 2025 — I promised to walk her to class that afternoon but accidentally overslept. It was so cold, and she waited for me downstairs. But she didn't even get angry. I love this girl.

  4. October 25, 2025 — We didn't fall asleep until 4 AM. After waking up we talked about so much, ate dry pot, and played arcade games. That evening Shenshen came across a Douyin post — a winter love quote. The screenshot read:

    "I always love to gently trace the scars on your body. My heart aches so much. I wish love could heal every one of them. If only I could bear the pain of your scars for you."

    I want to love this girl for the rest of my life.

  5. October 27, 2025 — I was inexplicably sad again. Shenshen sat with me on the bleachers by the track for a long time. In her arms, I can cry without holding back. I am so happy.

  6. October 28, 2025 — The sweater Shenshen ordered for me arrived, fits perfectly. She also mentioned wanting to buy me headphones — I broke mine when I handed them to her and they slipped and hit the ground. That evening I somehow managed to annoy her.

    I just think about how you had six years of emotional entanglement with another girl. You probably reminisce about your moments together at night. Maybe you told her you'd love her forever and never part. And I've only known you for such a short time — I'm nothing compared to that.

  1. November 2, 2025 — We went claw machine hunting. It was genuinely so much fun — I think the last time I did this was as a kid. We won so, so many. So happy :)

  2. November 5, 2025 — Felt a bit of a cold coming on. Shenshen waited for me downstairs to walk to class together. The moment I saw her, I teared up.

    That night I came across a video about the Overview Effect — the profound cognitive shift astronauts experience when looking down at Earth from space.

  3. November 6, 2025 — Saw something on Douyin and got an idea: had Doubao AI-generate a photo of us as kids, hugging face to face. Turned out pretty good! That evening Shenshen and I just kept walking, and walking, and walking.

  4. November 10, 2025 — Flashback moment. Shenshen came downstairs in her thick pajamas to find me. Pretty cute actually.

  5. November 19, 2025 — Went for an evening walk. Turned my head and saw a flower shop with the sweetest-smiling owner. Knowing Shenshen was stressed reviewing for exams, I bought a bouquet.

  6. November 30, 2025 — Saw a classmate's ginkgo-leaf rose on my feed and got inspired. Ran downstairs around 5-6 PM, sat on the ground, and started making one. It got dark pretty quickly — ended up sitting there like an idiot with a flashlight, haha. Not bad though.

December

  1. December 1, 2025 — A day of ups and downs. In the early hours I posted a beautiful moment on my feed: Watching you hold flowers is far more romantic than flowers themselves. That evening I annoyed Shenshen — after her shower she sent me a photo and I joked that I was tired of seeing it. The truth is, I think Shenshen is the most beautiful girl with the best figure in the entire world. Always have, always will.

  2. December 3, 2025 — This adorable girl fell on the track during PE class. Her legs were all bruised. It hurt me to see. That evening, talking about not being able to see each other next semester, we both cried our eyes out. I love you too. I'll be with you, always.

  3. December 7, 2025 — Shenshen said she dreamed I got married and had a daughter. She cried her heart out.

    So cute, haha. I was trying so hard not to laugh. That afternoon I was packing and painting a birthday gift — only finished half before the pen broke.

  4. December 10, 2025 — That evening we sat on the edge of the flower bed by the dorm, just talking. She said she wanted to eat Drunken Chicken. Okay.

    After exams, I'll take her.

  5. December 13, 2025 — It's Saturday. Shenshen did a gorgeous makeup look and wore the same coat from our first Web Fried Rice dinner. After my meeting, worried she'd be cold, I bought her a Luckin hot milk, less sweet. She said it was good — filing that away for winter orders from now on.

    That evening we had my favorite Sukiyaki dinner at Niurang. She'd planned to film a cute dance since she looked so pretty, but accidentally made me angry instead. I sat far away sulking and scrolling Douyin. Eventually I forgot what it was about. A small pity!

  6. December 14, 2025 — An incredibly happy day. Slept until noon. Shenshen was an absolute fairy — so beautiful I was speechless. We headed out for crab pot.

    How had I never realized how amazing this crab pot was? We ate so much we could barely walk.

    Then we went to see a movie. We'd planned to continue Avatar from the night before but couldn't find the English version, so we watched Inside Out instead. First time seeing it — absolutely loved it. So creative, such imagination.

    Turns out we could've switched to the English audio track. We ended up watching an extra half hour of Avatar anyway, haha!

  7. December 15, 2025 — I think this was the first time Shenshen accompanied me to the roast meat rice place by campus. Noting it down. She also gave me one of her hair clips.

    From late December: Money comes in a couple days.

  8. December 16, 2025 — While writing this post I reminisced about all the time Shenshen and I have spent together. What a beautiful thing. That evening she bought me fried rice and stinky tofu, and apparently also got a Christmas gift.

    It was a McHugs plushie!

  9. December 17, 2025 — Shenshen and I agreed: after exams we'd hang out until the 17th before I leave.

  10. December 19, 2025 — Shenshen bought us a pair of McHugs plushies — one brown, one white, incredibly cute. I'll be hanging mine on my backpack.

  11. December 20, 2025 — We watched Avatar 3 in IMAX together. Absolutely stunning! And even more importantly, we went ice skating in Chengdu for the first time together. Commemorating it ^^

  12. December 21, 2025 — Today is the Winter Solstice. I just realized this was my first time eating dumplings with Shenshen.
